Tuesday Tunes, is an event @ the Vineyard Loft (183A East Coast Road Singapore 428889) that has been organized to help fund the activities of Kingdom Inroads in the various communities that we are involved with.
Tuesday Tunes hosted by New Life Vineyard for its nembers and friend, will be a night of acoustic songs, drinks, snackage and hanging out with friends.
It will feature two sets:
The first being a half hour set of originals by, Enqing & Charis Vera, and the second, a forty-five minute set of covers by, A Boy Named Sue.
This is the first time A Boy Named Sue (3 out of 4 of them) will be at the Vineyard Loft. If you’re one for the songs of today, and like hear them live, then you wouldn’t want to miss this. As you may know they first came together as a band back in Secondary school, have performed at various events which include school events, fund-raising events and most recently at a pub called the Prince of Wales.
Enqing and Charis Vera bring to this event a familiar set of originals that have been left on shelves for a bit too long and grown a tad dusty. They are coming together again to sing their easy-listening mix of collaborations as well as songs they have written on their own.
Having debuted at POLLEN – at Pitch Black (organized by Dawn Fung), Enqing and Charis have since gone on to perform at various places that include the YMCA’s Blue Moo Rooftop Cafe and The Esplanade Library. They’ve also performed at events such as SMU’s Myriad in 2008 as well as had a couple of Christmas performances here and there.
Come if you have a taste for easy-listening/jazz-ish sounding songs, that go real well with a cup of Earl Grey sweetheart, and a shortbread or two. Please, don’t come round thinking we’re going to shove empty envelopes at you. We aren’t, promise. In the very least, you’ll get to leave with a tummy full of tea and a smile on a Tuesday night.
Bring friends, bring family. Come by just to hang out, listen to music and check out what Kingdom Inroads are up to.
