Choo Lye Heng, Director (International)
Lye Heng’s market place experiences are varied. They include serving as the CEO of the Singapore subsidiary of a foreign investment bank, and as Finance Director of a Singapore public listed company. His start-ups experience include the business of fund management, financial planning, IT, corporate advisory and business coaching.
Lye Heng and his wife, Susan, were commissioned in 2005 and have planted New Life Vineyard in Singapore, a fellowship which they are still leading. New Life Vineyard is a part of the Vineyard church planting movement founded by John Wimber. NLV is a member of the Vineyard Indonesian Partnership which comprises 12 Vineyard churches working to resource and to establish the Vineyard church planting movement in Indonesia.
Yap Kiat Hock, Director (Regional)
Kiat Hock’s experience covers the pastoral ministry, training, consultancy in community development (CD), facilitating CD projects and in volunteering. He had served in Vision Network Society (VNS), a Singapore based NGO, as Executive Director and Chief Project Executive. VNS has the goal of alleviating poverty and the empowering of low-income families and communities. Kiat Hock has initiated a number of successful CD projects, which provided livelihood for the participants and had utilized CD concepts such F.A.I.T.H Garden, Self Reliant House, and Community Health Education. Other CD concepts which Kiat Hock was involved included eco-tourism, clean water and sanitation, food and nutrition for the families.
Kiat Hock is an active volunteer counsellor at the Singapore Changi Prison Service, a role he has played for 5 years. He had also served as volunteer in X-Pact Society (a missions agency which supports church planning in Asia) for over a decade. In two years of these years he served as its President.
Jonathan Cortes, Director (Regional)
Jonathan has been involved in indigenous church planting movements amongst unreached people groups in Asia for the past 20 years. The key strategy has been the training and the development of indigenous mission leaders to plant and multiply more mission churches who reach unreached people groups. This has been complemented by developing resource linkages for sustainable development with international churches and agencies with the same vision and passion.
Susan Choo, Director (Singapore)
Susan has more than 15 years of experience in the area of audit, accounting and administration. She also has experience in marketing and running a home cleaning micro enterprise, and has planted New Life Vineyard with Lye Heng.
